Since 1929 painting Toronto

THIRD GENERATION OWNED

1924: 107 Baldwin purchased by Nathan Reingewirtz.

March 1929: Nathan and his wife Jenny open a paint store in their living room at 107 Baldwin in downtown Toronto.

1939: Benjamin Moore sales reaches $306.56.

1946: Garage built for the delivery truck.

1952: Nathan's daughter Helen marries Seymour and starts working at the paint store.

1956: Nathan dies. Seymour and Nathan's son, Harry, continue running the store.

1962: From left, Seymour and Harry at the store.

1970's: Largest Benjamin Moore seller in Ontario!

1971: Seymour's son, Gary, gets his driver's license and starts making deliveries.

1979: Gary finishes his studies and starts working full-time in the store. 50th anniversary celebrated!

1983: Nathan's wife, Jenny, passes away. Gary and Seymour carry on at the store.

1994: Start accepting debit cards, Amex, Visa and Mastercard.

1998: The "Starry Night" mural is painted, becoming a Kensington Market landmark.

2002: Store is renovated.

December 2014: New website design!

January 2018: Updated website. We are the first to sell the paint online!
